What does the HEXACO-60 measure?
HEXACO adds the Honesty-Humility dimension to the widely used five-factor model, so it looks at personality across six dimensions. Each dimension describes a range of tendency rather than a 'good versus bad' scale; being high or low can be an advantage in different contexts.
The profile offers a framework for getting to know yourself and for understanding your tendencies in your relationships, at work or within a support process. It is a picture that can shift over time, not a fixed label.
How is it scored?
Statements are scored on an agreement rating and distributed across the six dimensions; some items are reverse-scored. The result is a profile, not a diagnosis.

What do the score bands mean?
The ranges below are a general frame. No band makes a diagnosis on its own; a result only becomes meaningful when a clinical psychologist interprets it alongside your life story.

Limitation: A personality profile is not a diagnosis or an 'unchanging label'. Results can be affected by your mood at the moment and can change over time. A scale never makes a diagnosis on its own.
Psychometrics and source
The internal consistency of the HEXACO-60 dimensions is at an acceptable-to-good level in research samples, and the six-factor structure has been confirmed across cultures. It is a profile tool for the normal personality range, not a measure of pathology.
